Harun ar-Raszid (arab. هارون الرشيد; ur. 17 marca 763 w Reju w Iranie, zm. 24 marca 809 w Tusie, ob. Meszhed) – piąty i najbardziej znany kalif (od 786) z dynastii Abbasydów, ojciec kalifów Al Mamuna, Al-Amina i Al-Mutasima. Jeden z najwybitniejszych władców muzułmańskich, mecenas nauki i sztuki. Marājil (Arabic: مراجل; d. 786) was an umm walad of caliph Harun al-Rashid and mother of caliph al-Ma'mun.

ʽInān bint ʽAbdallāh (Arabic: عنان بنت عبد الله, died 841) was a prominent poet and qiyan of the Abbasid period, even characterised by the tenth-century historian Abū al-Faraj al-Iṣfahāni as the slave-woman poet of foremost significance in the Arabic tradition. She was later the concubine of Harun al-Rashid.
